Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the Google Workspace Add-ons developed by Tom Hobbs (collectively referred to as the "Service," including Catify and Chapter Word Count).

1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms, then you may not access the Service.

2. Description of Service

The Service is designed to function as an add-on for Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, or Slides). The Service is provided solely for the purpose of enhancing document creation, analysis, and editing workflows.

3. Use of Data and Backup

You acknowledge that you are solely responsible for the content, data, and files you process using the Service. We strongly recommend that you maintain backup copies of all documents and data before using the Service to modify or analyze them.

4. Disclaimer of Warranties ("As Is")

IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. WE EXPRESSLY DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY DEFECTS OR BUGS WILL BE CORRECTED.

5. Limitation of Liability (Data Loss)

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY YOU EXPRESSLY UNDERSTAND AND AGREE THAT WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF DATA OR FILE CORRUPTION;
LOSS OF PROFITS, GOODWILL, OR USE;
COST OF PROCUREMENT OF SUBSTITUTE GOODS OR SERVICES;

ARISING OUT OF OR RESULTING FROM THE USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

6. Third-Party Services

Our Service depends on the Google Workspace platform. We accept no responsibility for the availability or reliability of Google's services, or for any data loss caused by Google's infrastructure.

7. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless from and against any claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including attorney's fees) arising from your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.

8. Changes

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. By continuing to access or use our Service after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.
